About the role
We are looking for a Systems Engineer proficient in Windows Technologies to join our Site Reliability Engineering Team in Hyderabad. This is a hands-on technical role within a cross-functional team responsible for contributing to infrastructure engineering projects and maintaining and improving the firm's technology platforms. Responsibilities:
- The Windows Engineer will work on designing, implementing, and managing the firm’s Windows Infrastructure in collaboration with other IT Infrastructure teams.
- You will be involved in engineering project work and tier-2/3 operational support to increase the overall supportability and reliability of the firm’s enterprise technology environment. Additional responsibilities will include upgrading and/or re-designing existing infrastructure for improved performance and stability.
Qualifications:
- A B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech degree in Computer Science and Engineering or other technical disciplines, and at least 5 years of work experience in the Windows domain
- A good understanding of Windows fundamentals and extensive experience with one or more of the following technologies – Active Directory, ADFS, AzureAD, SCCM, SCOM, Hyper-V/S2D, VMware, Failover Clustering, Exchange, SQL Server, etc.
- Proficiency in PowerShell and experience with modern configuration management and development tools (e.g., git, continuous integration systems)
- A foundational knowledge of computer networks and TCP/IP networking
- Experience in handling L2/L3 escalations from Helpdesk/NOC and proactively identifying and fixing issues in the production environment
- Previous experience with the design and end-to-end implementation of performant, reliable, and secure systems, and with troubleshooting using diagnostic and tracing tools
- Experience with C# and/or Python
- Experience in Linux or Storage systems
- Prior experience of technical leadership or managing small teams
