Join the Akamai Storage Engineering Team
Our team is responsible for developing and maintaining Akamai's cloud storage platform. Our enterprise grade solution is an essential element to Akamai's Connected Cloud platform. We provide a scalable and secure storage solution for our customers to build their businesses. We are a diverse group of engineers located in Santa Clara, Cambridge, Philadelphia and Bangalore.
Responsibilities:
- Having access to Akamai's broad networking experience, global footprint, and high-profile clientele enable us to create innovative product with global impact. We deliver massive amounts of Data at scale and is unmatched by any other in the industry.
- You will be responsible for all the QA related activities, developing & executing component level test automation.
- Participating in functional and product design reviews, and incorporating feedback into test plans and test cases
- Developing and implementing automated tests for functionality, load, and performance
- Creating and execute tests on new features and capabilities
- Collaborating with a cross-functional team of developers, Systems QA, release engineers, architects and program managers
- Improving our testing and automation infrastructures, define test plans and effective automation
Qualifications:
- Have 5+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Have experience with storage technologies, Cloud computing, Kubernetes/dockers and networking concepts such as HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP
- Have experience working in Unix/Linux and developing Automation framework using python (bonus points for experience in SQL/Couchdb)
- Be highly responsible, self-managed, self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision and possess excellent communication skills
- Have passion to understand, learn, and dissect new technologies quickly and excellent debugging/troubleshooting skills
