Autodesk is seeking a Principal Architect – Cloud Integration & Platform Engineering to join the Business Systems and Applications Engineering organization within the Finance domain. In this role, you will provide technical leadership for Autodesk’s enterprise integration ecosystem, shaping the strategy, architecture, and evolution of platforms that connect critical business systems and enable scalable business operations.
As a senior technical leader, you will partner with engineering, platform, security, and business teams to drive modernization initiatives, establish engineering standards, and influence technology decisions across Finance and other enterprise domains
Principal Responsibilities
Define and drive the long-term architecture strategy for Autodesk's enterprise integration platform, enabling secure, scalable, resilient, and cloud-native integrations across Finance and business-critical systems.
Lead modernization initiatives that transform legacy and middleware-based integrations into AWS-native, event-driven, and serverless architectures.
Establish enterprise architecture standards, integration patterns, governance frameworks, and engineering guardrails that improve platform consistency, scalability, and developer productivity.
Partner with engineering, platform, security, and business stakeholders to align technology strategy with business outcomes and operational excellence objectives.
Drive platform reliability, observability, resiliency, and disaster recovery capabilities by defining standards for monitoring, tracing, incident management, and operational readiness.
Define and evolve platform engineering capabilities, Infrastructure as Code standards, CI/CD frameworks, and reusable engineering platforms that improve developer productivity and operational excellence
Lead architecture reviews, technical strategy discussions, and cross-functional design decisions across multiple engineering teams.
Mentor senior engineers fostering engineering excellence and helping scale technical leadership across the organization
Responsibilities:

Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience designing enterprise-scale cloud-native distributed systems, integration platforms, and event-driven architectures with deep expertise in AWS
- Experience modernizing enterprise integration platforms from legacy middleware technologies into cloud-native and event-driven architectures
- Proven experience building and operating serverless and event-driven architectures using
- Lambda, API Gateway, Event Bridge, SQS/SNS, S3, Glue, Step Functions, DynamoDB, IAM, CloudWatch, and related AWS services.
- Experience leading architecture reviews and defining cloud architecture standards, reusable infrastructure modules, engineering guardrails, and shared platform capabiliti
- Hands-on experience defining and implementing resiliency, disaster recovery, failover, and operational excellence standards for enterprise-scale cloud platforms
- Extensive experience implementing CI/CD automation using Jenkins or similar DevOps tooling.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation,
- or Serverless Framework in enterprise environment
- Experience driving observability, production operations, incident response, root cause analysis, and MTTR reduction using logs, metrics, and tracing platforms such as
- Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana, CloudWatch, or similar observability platforms
- Hands-on experience developing cloud-native services, automation, and integration solutions using Python, Node.js, Java, or similar programming languages
- Experience with application containerization and deployment on AWS cloud platforms using technologies such as Docker, ECS, or Kubernetes
- AWS Solution Architect certification preferred.
- Familiarity with GenAI/RAG/MCP.
