About the role
To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.
Responsibilities:
- Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
- Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
- Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
- Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
- Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
- Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
Qualifications:
- Strong hands-on experience in React.js with proven expertise in designing and developing enterprise-scale web applications.
- Solid development experience in Java, Spring Boot, and REST API development with the ability to work across UI and backend components.
- Deep understanding of modern UI technologies including React, HTML5, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS3, LESS, Bootstrap, Node.js, Jest, and JSON over HTTP.
- Strong understanding of software design principles, design patterns, component-based architecture, and application security best practices.
- Experience building responsive, accessible, and high-performance user interfaces.
- Proficiency in integrating UI applications with RESTful services and microservices-based architectures.
- Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle and MySQL.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently learn and adopt new technologies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments and collaborating effectively across geographically distributed teams.
