About the role
To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.
Responsibilities:
- Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
- Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
- Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
- Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
- Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
- Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
Qualifications:
- Senior engineering leadership experience delivering
- large‑scale Salesforce platforms (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, custom platform capabilities) in complex enterprise environments.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, working with
- global business leads, product teams, and technology partners to align strategy and execution.
- Hands‑on experience leading
- platform transformation, modernisation, and technical debt reduction, with a strong focus on scalability and reuse.
- Ownership of
- end‑to‑end Salesforce architecture, including integrations, data flows, security, CI/CD, and environment strategy.
- Leading delivery across Salesforce platforms through
- agile engineering teams, guiding prioritisation, managing dependencies, and ensuring predictable outcomes.
- Establishing and enforcing
- platform governance, risk, and control frameworks, including release management, access control, and audit readiness.
- Experience working in
- Banking / Financial Services or other regulated industries.
- Strong understanding of
- enterprise integrations, data platforms, and identity/access management.
- Proven ability to build, mentor, and retain
- high‑performing engineering teams and manage strategic vendors.
- Ability to operate effectively at both
- strategic leadership level and deep engineering detail when required.
