About this role About the team: Aladdin Wealth Technology (AWT) builds technology for wealth management, helping wealth managers and financial advisors deliver personalized portfolio experiences and improve client engagement. This role sits within the team supporting My Managed Accounts (MMA), a platform that enables advisors and internal users to view, manage, enroll, and service accounts. You will work on backend services, integrations, and workflow capabilities that support scalable user experiences. As a member of the team, you are expected to be: What you’ll do:
Responsibilities:
- Design and build scalable microservices using Java (Spring Boot).
- Collaborate across engineering, product, and business teams to deliver impactful solutions.
- Apply AI-driven tools and approaches to enhance development, automation, and product capabilities.
- Solve complex problems and continuously improve system performance and reliability.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with Java/Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Experience designing and building scalable microservices using API-first principles (REST/gRPC).
- Experience with Java 17+ is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with modern engineering tools (Git, Maven, unit and integration testing, mocking frameworks).
- Solid experience with object‑oriented design and applying standard design patterns.
- Interest or experience in AI/ML or AI-assisted development
- Experience with message brokers such as Kafka is a plus.
- Experience in React or similar, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript is a plus.
- A proactive, learning-oriented attitude and enthusiasm for innovation
- A collaborative mindset, with a drive to build high‑quality software efficiently
- A friendly, positive, and can‑do attitude.
