About the role
Responsibilities:
- The Commerce team is responsible for building next-generation cloud commerce systems that power pricing, billing, usage metering, and revenue generation for Coupang’s cloud platform.
- This team operates as the backbone of the cloud business, enabling accurate pricing, discounting, invoicing, and real-time usage visibility for customers.
- The systems are highly scalable and event-driven, ingesting and processing massive volumes of data—including customer usage events and Kubernetes-driven infrastructure signals.

- Experience working with AWS-managed databases (e.g., Aurora or similar OLTP systems)
- Familiarity with containerized systems and Kubernetes ecosystems
- Experience building real-time systems (e.g., usage tracking, billing, metering pipelines)

- Strong problem-solving skills with focus on efficiency and correctness
