About the role
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineers both inside and outside the team to design and deliver powerful new APIs and features for our B2B Customers.
- Drive technical improvements to our codebase and architecture, ensuring our systems are highly reliable, maintainable, and scalable.
- Mentor and coach other engineers on sound engineering practices and testing.
- Work closely with your team, the Product Manager, and the Product Designer to define the look, feel, and functionality of new features and review customer feedback.
- Participate in the team's on-call rotation to ensure we offer our customers the best availability for our services.
Qualifications:

- 5+ years of experience working on large-scale systems or services.
- Previous experience using Node.js (TypeScript or JavaScript) to build backend services and create and maintain public or internal APIs.
- You have worked on full-stack applications in the past; while this is a backend-focused role, a portion of our work involves React, and your familiarity is a plus.
- Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
- You are a good communicator and mentor who enjoys sharing knowledge and helping the team grow.
- You work autonomously but know when to seek help from your team members.
- Experience with containerisation (Docker) and cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure preferred).
