About the role
The team is responsible for building and supporting scalable enterprise platforms and services focused on high-performance retail solutions. The team works on modern technologies including Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, cloud platforms, and microservices architecture to deliver reliable and scalable business-critical applications in an Agile environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable applications using Java, Spring Boot.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services integrated with Cassandra and Kafka.
- Implement and manage data processing workflows using Apache Airflow.
- Work with cloud platforms such as Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to ensure high availability and scalability.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and cross-functional Agile teams to deliver business-critical features.
- Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Follow engineering best practices including CI/CD, code reviews, security standards, and clean coding principles.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Qualifications:
- Strong experience in microservices development with Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.
- Hands-on experience with databases and messaging technologies such as Cosmos, Cassandra, and Kafka.
- Experience working with Apache Airflow and cloud platforms like Azure and GCP.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and software engineering best practices.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering and full-stack application development.
