About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer / Full Stack Java Software Engineer. Wells Fargo Compute automation team is seeking a highly skilled Lead Full Stack Java Software Engineer to join our Product Delivery Automation Framework (PDAF) development team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in enterprise-scale software development, with a strong background in building enterprise scale platforms leveraging system to system API, and event driven designs. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable applications that support our foundational hosting platform. The Senior Infrastructure Engineer role is essential for delivery execution, and cross team coordination required to advance Software Automations across critical engineering initiatives. This position is directly tied to high‑impact programs such as the Ansible playbooks creation for software delivery team and for future roadmap execution of the playbook through Arbor, and its absence risks delaying key automation improvements delivered through Arbor, Helix and Orchestra. These automation capabilities are foundational for shifting operational tasks left, enabling developer self‑service and significantly reducing manual effort across infrastructure operations. Code Quality: Write secure, clean, testable, observable, and maintainable code. Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards. Design and Development: Architect and develop robust Java-based applications using full-stack technologies. Focus on creating scalable, maintainable, and efficient solutions that meet business requirements. Event-Driven Architecture: Implement and manage systems that operate on an event-driven model, ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability. Backend Development: Develop and maintain RESTful services, microservices, and APIs using Java, Spring Boot, or similar frameworks. Ensure backend services are optimized for performance, security, and resilience. Frontend Development: Work with modern frontend frameworks like React, to build responsive and user-friendly web interfaces. Ensure seamless integration with backend services. DevOps Practices: Engage in CI/CD pipeline development, automate deployment processes, and manage application monitoring and logging. Design complex system upgrades. Resolve troublesome trends as they develop. Develop a long range plan designed to resolve problems and prevent them from recurring. Direct the daily risk and control flow of operations, focusing on policies, procedures and work standards to ensure success. Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals. Required Qualifications: 4+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education. Full Stack Development: Proven track record in both frontend and backend development, with expertise in at least one modern JavaScript framework. Database Management: Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB). Cloud Services: Familiarity with major cloud platforms (Openshift, Azure, GCP) and their managed Kubernetes services.
