About the role
To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.
Responsibilities:
- Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
- Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
- Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
- Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
- Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
- Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
Qualifications:
- Experience developing medium to large size Java application covering Core Java, Multi-Threading, Spring, Spring Boot.
- Basic knowledge of deployment with Cloud platform such as Docker, Kubernetes and AWS.
- Experience working in an Agile development methodology environment (preferably Scrum/Kanban).
- Basic experience with ReactJS/Angular/typescript
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of unit testing and integration testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Mockito, Jest, React Testing Library).
- Utilizing tools such as Gitlab Vscode, IntelliJ/Eclipse and JIRA
- Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with python based development.
- Nice to have basic knowledge with large language models and agentic AI patterns — tool use, RAG, prompt engineering, memory management, and guardrails.
- Nice to have experience working in cloud environments , with hands on exposure to AI tools such as AWS bedrock, Claude Code or similar.
- Understanding of API integrations, data pipelines, and event-driven architectures
- Nice to have experience working in cloud environments (AWS preferred) with familiarity in containerization, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Experience building systems in trading, banking and/ or financial organization.
